The last 2 weeks have potentially been the most diverse and full of my life. I finished my internship at the Contemporary Art Centre in Málaga, made a quick visit to Romania and then left for my new job as a tourist animator in Mallorca. I know, I’m very profession-confused. I was suppose to have 2 weeks of training, but after the first 4 days I was sent to my first hotel of the season. It´s called Club Santa Ponsa and it´s in a little tourist town on the west coast of the island, close to Calviá and Palma de Mallorca. Since it´s still off-season, most of the venues... 

The time has come to stop procrastinating and take you on another fabulously exciting ramble about the cultural life of Andalusia. Much time and wine have passed since then and this article was left as a draft until tonight, mostly because I’ve been trying to upload a video,but Spanish internet is against me. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the idea of a carnival, but if you’re like me and come from a country that doesn’t really have a tradition of such events, you’ve still probably heard of the massive shinding that goes on every year...

So I’ve been ill last week, and let me tell you, in between visits to the ER, antibiotics, fever and pain, it’s been one hell of a trip. So I decided to write a short journal of my experience, to serve for all of you out there who might, at some point get an year infection or are simply looking for a laugh. Or are worried about me Day 1 – Saturday 16:00 After a whole day of job seaqrching in the living room, I start to notice a slight feeling of discomfort in my left year. Damn, I told the German guy to close the door. 19:00 Within three hours, the feeling... 

¨A few times in my life I’ve had moments of absolute clarity, when for a few brief seconds the silence drowns out the noise and I can feel rather than think, and things seem so sharp and the world seems so fresh. I can never make these moments last. I cling to them, but like everything, they fade. I have lived my life on these moments. În San Sebastian, ăla de-i în Nordul Spaniei, la vreo câțiva kilometri de frontiera cu Franța, într-o zonă agitată și cu o limbă imposibilă stau și ruginesc trei sculpturi pe mal de Ocean Atlantic. Le-a lăsat acolo încă dinainte să mă nasc sculptorul spaniol Eduardo Chillida, care în 1977 a avut tupeul să ceară un elicopter de la Ambasada Americii, dar ei, ocupați fiind cu premiera Star Wars, i-au zis că poate altădată. Așa că Eduardo și-a convins un prieten (inginer din ăla de care cunoștea toata lumea în vremea aceea, cum avem și noi azi cel... 

At times I just need to stop what I’m doing, take a step back and take a long hard look at myself. These moments don’t happen very often, unfortunately. I think I’ve just had them 3-4 times in my life so far. And this is not one of them. Most of the times, however, I just get these short moments of “lucidity”, in which absurd things happen and  they make me question my life. Like those times you wake up so suddently from a dream that you don’t realize what day it is or where you are or even who you are for the first few seconds after opening...

Mi-e gura mică și dor de tine. Faruri (Morcheeba – Blood like lemonade) de mașină urcă pe deal, le văd de pe balcon și mi-e dor de forma umerilor tăi ascunși în alb. Mi-e dor de lupte printre haine și praf cu soare. Noaptea-i neagră și orașul alb, mi-e dor de un desen din stele unite pe-o plajă. Și-mi bate vântul printre degetele darabana pe plastic de balustradă și mi-e dor de un vin roșu din sticlă. Tricourile tale sunt prea lungi, mă acoperă până la genunchi și mi-e dor de lumina roșie din vârf de Tâmpa. Miroși a fân proaspăt cosit și...
